The Youth Brilliance Conference 2011 brings together the many voices, expressions and potential of young people from all over the world.
Whatever brilliance is theirs to express: sport, art, music, community project or simply what makes them get out of bed with a smile on their face each day; we want to hear about it and understand how this connects to creating a more brilliant world.
Join us on 1 October, 2011 in London for a day full of amazing projects, people and activities showcasing young brilliance and how it impacts the world.
We have an amazing programme of dynamic speakers who are working with their brilliance and others around the world who will inform, engage and inspire you!

Cricket for Change, Emergency Happiness and the Centre for Social Brilliance are co-creating this global event to give young people the opportunity to express their brilliance and engage with others from all over the world, creating potential for new connections and collaborations.
We are really keen to give young people the space in which their voices can be heard on a global scale. So they can express their brilliance and talents in whatever way is unique to them and engage with individuals and organisations who work with youth brilliance.
You may be a young person who is creating something vibrant and new yourself, or you may be part of an organisation that works with young people to create energy and consciousness around their brilliance and the positive impact they can and are having on society. Click here to register for the day.
Live streaming brings global access to the Youth Brilliance Conference to people around the UK and the world who want to engage with the amazing energy and passion that will be showcased on 1st October.
One of our core Collaborators, Looking In, a vibrant, inspiring organisation will be videoing and using their software to make the speakers and sessions available to people who want to watch the day online. You will also be able to instant message questions to the speaker so you can engage as well.

Sabirul Islam
Sabirul set up his first web design company at the age of 14, became a junior trader at 16, wrote his first book "The World at Your Feet" aged 17, and now aged 20, has created the "Inspire1Million" campaign: www.inspire1million.org ;|to inspire, engage and transform the lives of 1 million people around the world from May 2011.
Sabirul will be speaking about his personal journey in "being young and playing big" at the Conference, as well as running a break out session on Young Entrepreneurship using his business board game called Teen-Trepreneur.
Adam is an amazing young coach and also a development manager at the charity Cricket for Change, www.cricketforchange.org.uk , where he inspires and unleashes the collective brilliance of youth and works with them to generate belief in themselves and their futures.
Adam was recently voted the ECB/SKYSPORTS coach of the year and has travelled the world developing cricket projects and enjoyed meeting the first lady Michelle Obama in Chicago. Adams life has been transformed by cricket and his aim is to have a positive impact on everyone he comes across in life.

The Youth Coaching Academy is the first and foremost training body for both adults AND Young People who wish to become Life Coaches with the additional specialism of coaching YOUTH. " We see a world where every young person has access to the most effective personal development and coaching programmes ".
Our mission and purpose is to train adults and young people to become the most effective youth coaches for young people within their own communities.
Working with Youth Coaches, Teachers, Schools, Parents, Education Authorities, Young People and many different organisations who positively impact and inspire young people, we are able to spread our belief in young people even further and straight into the heart of each of the communities that we work with!

Abdullah is a mega player even though he is still trying to work all of that out! He has an indomitable spirit, a quick ability to suss the real situation and an unquenchable thirst for life and the people in it.
He'’s committed, loyal and a great team player... and he is very good at sports too!
Abdullah loves learning, particularly now that he'’s no longer in an academic environment!
Elevate is the Ignite Trusts longest running project, and is a dance programme containing 3 streams; Elevate Academy, Hype open dance sessions and school workshops. These streams use dance as the catalyst to encourage young people aged 13-19 to engage in positive activities, develop life skills and make healthy life choices.
Fagee, Divine, Simone, Andre, Izzy and Ravi wil be at the Youth Brilliance Conference showing us a video of their dancung and talking about the amazing impact dance has had on their lives.
Farah is an aspiring social entrepreneur and a co-founder of You Press: a social enterprise to catalyse young people to be represented in the mainstream media to promote positive change. You Press works with a diverse range of young people and media organisations to explore and promote the opinions of young people. Their first media partnership was with The Guardian and on June 2011 when they launched a youth focused series called Youth Tell Us, publishing articles written by young people on subjects such as Education, Political Participation, Employment, Sexual Health and Multiculturalism.
Farah graduated in 2008 with a degree in Human Resource Management & Marketing. Growing up in East London he has developed an interest in social entrepreneurship within his community and is keen to be an effective leader within his community. Farah has also been asked to participate in national and global training programmes.
Farah also aspires to be a motivational speaker for young people and is very interested in empowering young people to take ownership of their lives and their future.
Tai Hussain studied Applied Psychology & Sociology at university and is fascinated and insatiably curious about people, culture and society, in fact everything in the universe! Tai is actively involved in grass roots community work and is a believer that we all have the power, magic and brilliance to impact individuals and society in magnificent ways. Tai is currently Chair of Governors at a primary school and is actively involved in mentoring young people to believe and see and feel the richness of their limitless potential. Tai is also Vice Chair of Woking Asian Business Forum (www.wabf.org.uk) a business forum which acts as a facilitator, advocate and champion for local business and communities and is truly dedicated to Transforming Lives, Shaping Destinies.
Tai is a co-founder of Skyline IT Services an international IT recruitment agency and works with clients such as IBM, Oracle, Accenture & University of Oxford.
Tai receives joy from spending time with his 4 children and learning infinite amounts from them, reading a book a week, sitting in stillness in his garden on a warm summer day, walking in and absorbing the beauty of the Surrey Hills and living in a place of gratitude and wonder.
Barney Tremblay is a 30 year import to the UK - bringing with her an infectious can do attitude, an unquenchable thirst for understanding others and an admiring curiosity and appreciation of the all that will never cease.
Professionally, her specialist areas are leadership and communication and she touches the lives of others in a memorable way whether at Director level or at risk level by a series of disciplines from simple honest presence and listening to influencing policy makers and educators at national level.
Barneys dedication to powering consciousness through potential happens when she is present as others transform themselves simply by embracing who they are and who they can be.
Mridu is from Nepal and completed her Masters in International Development at the University of Bristol in 2010. Mridu has been part of Children Of the Earth (http://www.coeworld.org) since 2001, and has worked with Nina Meyerhof (Founder and President of COE) for many years with projects in Nepal working with children and young adults. She has also attended Youth conferences, initiated and co-hosted by Children of the Earth in Ghana, Japan, Switzerland and India.
Rosie is from Oxford, has a German/English background and has just completed her degree in Human and Political Geography at Kings College London, 2011. Rosie has been with Children of the Earth (http://www.coeworld.org) since the Summer of 2009, where she attended a Youth Gathering in the Swiss mountains. The impact this has had on her and the whole group has spurred her on to continue working with COE. She attended two conferences in Geneva and is part of the working group of the Guatemala conference for 2012.
Charlotte Onwudiwe is the founder and CEO of Girls Aglow, an idea which saw her win one of thef the Big Challenge 2010 titles. Girls Aglow is a support network for young girls aged 13-18. Our aim is to be a personal and professional network specialising in providing a forum where girls are equipped with tips to overcome personal concerns in order to uncover potential excellence through our development programme.
Girls Aglow hopes to provide programmes available to as many young girls that apply to be on the scheme with life coaching and guidance, whilst also giving them the opportunity to hear and be inspired by personal accounts of successful male and female role models. Girls Aglow also delivers a tailored and more compact chargeable service to schools.
Charlotte will be sharing her tips learnt from the journey of turning an idea into reality sometimes challenging and sometimes inspiring!
Alan Barrell has spent 30 years in senior executive positions in technology based industries and is one of Cambridge's most articulate promoters of entrepreneurship. He was a founder shareholder in Library House Ltd, and is now Entrepreneur in Residence at the University's Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning and Visiting Professor of Enterprise at the University of Bedfordshire School of Graduate Business Studies.
He has tremendous passion for a world of greater understanding between peoples, greater tolerance, more collaboration and 'co-opetition' - partnerships in practice and cross border knowledge exchanges. World Without Borders is not a political model, but seeks to join peoples of diverse ethnic, cultural and political backgrounds in developing a Mindset which reaches across borders to create wealth (in the broadest meaning of the word) and enhance and accelerate prosperity, through economic growth in communities of common purpose and societies which demonstrate social inclusion.

Passionate about social ventures, co-founder of Brighter Steppings, I Do Ideas, and The Art of Finance. Seun Oshinaike co-founded Brighter Steppings in September 2010 with the aim of inspiring, unlocking the potentials and raising the aspirations of young people whilst equipping young people with employability skills.
Experience of co-managing a Youth Leadership Fund worth over a million pounds at the Young Foundation as a result helped to open up leadership opportunities for 1,200 young people who wouldnt otherwise have had them.
Seun Studied BSc Sport Science for a year at the University of Birmingham before deciding that he preferred more practical, hands-on learning and development.
Sergio López Figueroa is a London based international creative producer and composer with over 14 years experience working across film, concert, theatre and education. Creator of the Cultural Social Responsibility framework, Sergio is the director and founder of Big Bang Lab (www.bigbang-lab.com), a cultural-social enterprise and creative development agency working from consultancy to production and creative learning, actively promoting cultural heritage as a means towards sustainability and socio-economic development.
His role as a cultural activist and social entrepreneur emerged in 2004 with a multicultural classical new music platform for social inclusion.
He runs training workshop progrmmes on co-creativity helping organisations across sectors to engage with their staff and communities in new ways using digital media and crowdsourced video production (www.sharedvoices.net)
Genevieve has spent the last 10 years working in the fields of continuous improvement, community investment and leadership development. She heads up Emergency Happiness, a new and innovative social enterprise that is breaking boundaries and helping people from all walks of life to transform their lives. They actively work across both the community and corporate sectors, playing with the people who come to them by creating magical, unique and moving development experiences. Annette has worked in the corporate world for 20 years, in both the Heavy Building Materials Industry and the IT industry but felt a desire for something else. Her path began to emerge when she saw her impact as a Strengthsfinder™ coach and from feedback and encouragement from people she started to see the potential she had for understanding people.
Over the past 10 years Annette has developed into a truly insightful coach and powerful trainer. She now runs her own training and coaching practice: Wavelength Training & Coaching Ltd; helping people move from surviving to thriving! She ensures that young people, starting on their journeys, have the non-judgemental support and encouragement they need to thrive.
Annette has begun working with the Centre for Social Brilliance and youth organisations to support young people in tuning in to their unique talents, understanding them and building their skills in leading themselves to their vision of a fulfilling life.
With a unique ability of visioning the new untapped potential in individuals and society, Manisha has works in innovative ways within organisations and communities bringing new social and business ideas to fruition. From engaging in large transformational programmes as a Management Consultant with IBM and working with telecom companies like O2, T-Mobile and Cable & Wireless, to designing and delivering social leadership programmes for corporate organisations such as Kroll and Colliers CRE in partnership with Save the Children and other charities, she weaves a core thread of social consciousness in each initiative.
A visionary, speaker, coach and documentary film-maker who wants to connect brilliant potential around the world, Manisha recently created a short documentary highlighting the spirit and sparks of magnificence in two young children living in the slum communities of Mumbai in India.
Manisha has an MBA from London Business School, a Masters in Science and Technology from BITS, Pilani, a leading engineering institute in India and is a trained Visionary Coach from the Coaches Training Institute and the Visionary Network.
Jackie's passion and unique ability is to make accessible the vast range of perspectives and potential that she believes are always present. What brings her alive is seeing people expand into a bigger sense of themselves and their potential.
As Co-creator of the Centre for Social Brilliance, Jackie is part of the team that brings together global visionaries and socially conscious leaders to play and create the shifts and perspectives in people and society that are changing the world we live in today. She is an experienced event host, powerful speaker, facilitator and trainer.
After over 10 years working in Marketing roles in telecoms, internet and software companies, Jackie made the move to Executive Coaching in Leadership and High Performance working for companies including T-Mobile, Heinz, Tesco, Allianz, BT and Accenture.
Jackie has has an MA in Psychology, a Masters in Marketing and is a leading brilliance and visionary coach from the Coaches Training Institute and The Visionary Network.
